COVID-19 Announcement

Here are our precautionary measures for examinations:

  • We will require you to wear a face-covering during our interactions. This is mandated by the San Diego County Health Order effective May 1, 2020. Please maintain a 6-foot distance when possible.

  • Please bring a cell phone with you to your appointment. We ask you to remain in your vehicle and call us at 858-277-3665 when you arrive. We will have you bring your dog or cat inside of our lobby for us to then take them for their exam. After we have your dog or cat, please return to your vehicle until we call you again. Please do not leave the parking lot. Our doctor will call after the examination to discuss your pet's care options.

  • If you become ill, please call and reschedule your appointment or have another trusted, healthy person bring your pet in for care.

  • Please leave your children safe at home with an adult unless no other option is available.

  • For prescription or food refills you can come into the lobby. Please remain at least 6 feet away from others and we would like to limit the number of people in our lobby to 3 at the most.

We are receiving a heavy volume telephone calls so please leave us a voicemail to get back to you. Please consider appointment requests and refills through Petly and adding your cell phone as a means to reach you by text message. You can Opt-in for text messages under My Preferences sections. As the weather heats up, consider running your air conditioning in your car or bring water for your pet to drink. We cannot always bring them into the hospital right away. Please do not walk dogs to the hospital on hot days. We want to avoid overheated pets.

We will continue to provide the care and attention your pet needs for as long as possible. This is a rapidly changing situation, and we will try to maintain open communication with you. Please be patient with us as we work through the best way to care for your pets.
