Laurie Johnson
Laurie Johnson started in the veterinary field in September 2001, and has been working for Ark Animal Hospital since 2003. She loves working with animals and has done so for many years. She volunteers for Aztec Doberman Club and is on their board for organizing fundraising events. Laurie has trained herself and her Doberman Pinscher Archer as a working therapy dog. She attends weekly meetings and therapy sessions. She also provides “in home pet care” for all types of animals while owners are away. She has experience with dogs, cats, rats, rabbits, birds, tortoises, reptiles, and even horses and chickens. She has ranch experience and even helped wild critters from time to time as well.
Laurie lives with her husband and has 2 dogs – Boxer Kalea and Doberman Pinscher Archer, 3 cats – Peaches, Indy, and Nitro, along with a Bearded Dragon lizard. She enjoys spending time with her family and her animals, often going camping and traveling with the dogs. She likes to hike and be outdoors as much as possible.
Laurie says: “The best thing I love about my job is really helping people connect with their pet’s needs, whether it’s their first puppy/kitten, or saying goodbye to a beloved companion. I really enjoy working with all the caring staff at Ark Animal Hospital.”
